  • We are offering one (1) placement opportunity in our Child & Youth Advocacy Program (see posting attached). The application deadline for the placements is: March 31, 2025.

Interviews will be held beginning in April 2025.

Volunteer Opportunity – Youth Engagement Committee

Boost Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (Boost CYAC) seeks to engage the youth and families we serve by including you in making decisions regarding our physical space, service processes, and how we can better connect to the community.

Boost CYAC currently has a Youth Engagement Committee, wherein former clients can volunteer to join to give their feedback and ideas on how BOOST can keep improving. Boost CYAC is strongly committed to forming a committee that reflects the diversity of the populations we serve. We encourage membership from individuals from all cultures, racialized communities, abilities, diverse sexual and gender identities and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas.

Requirements to join:

  • Between the ages of 16-24
  • Must not be a current client of the centre – previous clients are welcome to join, six months or more after they complete services at Boost

What the term looks like:

  • Meetings are held between the months of September to June (during the school year)
  • Participation in committee projects and goals
  • Membership in sub-committees, depending on the committee’s annual goals

What you will get:

  • Reimbursement through gift cards for participating in meetings and committee projects
  • Secondary school volunteer hours
  • Potential references
  • Experience to add to your resume/curriculum vitae
