Strategic Direction
Imagine being a childwho has survived abuse, violence or exploitation, only to have to navigate a system built by adults, for adults – the police station, the hospital, the courtroom. In Ontario last year alone, more than 125,0001 children experienced abuse. Every child deserves more than just support – they deserve to be protected, believed, and fully responded to.
Boost CYAC envisions a world where every child is safe, valued and can thrive.
2025-2029 Strategic Plan
—
Brave Spaces & Services
—
A Brave Space is both physical and psychological: a place where the truth can be told, courageous conversations happen, perspectives are shared, and assumptions are challenged.
Brave Services are aspirational, challenging the status quo, taking risks, and leading the way toward service that is truly worthy of the children, families, and communities we serve.
Measuring What Matters
—
We are committed to utilizing data for transformative change. By consistently quantifying and reporting on the impact of our initiatives, we illuminate the difference our initiatives make. Our goal is not only to measure progress but to use data to expand our transformative impact— ensuring that our community sees and understands the benefits of our flexible, compassionate, and evidence-based initiatives.
A Culture of Learning & Leading
—
Learning requires bravery, and leadership is rooted in the courage to grow, take risks, and model our values. Together, these qualities create a culture where everyone can learn and lead. Leadership at Boost CYAC is not confined to titles – it is a mindset and a shared responsibility. We aim to cultivate leaders across the organization, positioning our organization to influence the sector and shape the future of child advocacy in Canada.
Long-Term Goal
Scaled Impact
Our long-term goal is to achieve scaled impact by positioning Boost CYAC as an accessible, equitable, and child-centered hub for a coordinated responses to child abuse. Through the continued development of our Brave Space and Services, we will strengthen system collaboration, expand reach, and enhance positive outcomes for children, youth, and families across communities.
